Work can be so boring!!!

Hey again. I thought that i had better write since i havn't done since friday. Hehe. Anyway i am into my second week of work and i am already bored. I can't wait until the other 7 students come next week. At least then i will have some more girl company instead of just two guys. However i think that the boss is running out of jobs to do until Christmas. I was picking up rubbish, sticks and stones pretty much all day Monday. (I managed to fill about 1/2 rubbish bag, found about 10 stones to pick up and am really sick of cabbage tree leaves). One of my workmates threatened to surround my future house in cabbage trees. I then threatened to surround his house with children. That seemed to work a charm since he doesn't like children. hehe

Anyway yesterday i got the wonderful job of raking up sticks in an area where no-one goes. (Not really sure what the purpose was, but it sure beat picking up rubbish)

And today i got to stain the two tables outside the shop. Oh wat a wonderful job... i somehow managed to coat one arm in the horrible stuff, i got it all over my hands and got splotches all up my legs. Took me ages to scrub it off using all sorts of soaps and scrubbers. And i still don't think i got it all. (Sigh).Really bad day to come home blotchy with my mums concert on tonight. And we were supposed to go coz mum needed us to help. I really hate staining stuff. And to think that i still have to finish all the minigolf tables plus the ten new ones. Luckily the other students will be here before we have any more stain. The boss was quite wonderful today. He decided that with the tiny bit of stain that i had left, i could start on the underside of a table at the minigolf. Unfortunately he forgot to mention that the tables were actually bolted to the ground. So i carried all the stain and brush to the minigolf, couldn't lift the table coz of the chain. So because there were children playing minigolf, i had to take the stain all the way back to the workshop just to get a spanner thing to undo the screw. Then i only had enough stain to do half of the underside of the table anyway. So i was a little annoyed.

But hopefully i will be able to work alongside the two guys again for the rest of the week, just coz i get so bored working by myself. Although me and another guy (who is actually my brothers girlfriends brother) keep bickering just for fun. At least now i am starting to win some of the more important rock offs. hehe. Anyway i think i have written enough now and i'm real tired so i'm off.

Hi again

Hey everyone. Just thought that i would let you know wats been happening up here in litte ol Nelson. I have been working this week at Tahuna Holiday Park. Great place. However since my job is supposed to be bikeboy or bike person, and there are not enough people in the camp at the moment we get to paint siteblocks and dig holes in the road in the rain. Lots of fun... So much for the hole being easy to dig coz it's just sand!!! I don't think they realised that the sand would be a whole foot of digging before we got to it. Sigh. We were pretty pleased when we finally got the sand.

Anyway i am working with the two guys who were bikeboys with me last year. Not too bad really. They are quite nice guys although i'm hoping one of them will show up to work sober more often this year than he did last year. We are thinking of organising our shifts so he does night shifts on Sundays, so then he has the whole day to get over his hangover. hehe.

However today i have decided that i no longer like playing paper, scissors, rock. We keep on rocking off for jobs every time we want to trade. However i keep losing every time so today i want up and down all day with the stencil for the siteblocks while one of the other guys got to read the map pretty much all day. I think those fumes from the spray can were getting to us by the end of the day, and i had a headache...

Anyway we had a bit of fun before we left for the day. The boss had given us a map to use while we were numbering all the sites since we couldn't find last years map. He told us that we were not to get any paint on it since it was the only one left and it was the one he used coz its normally on his wall. Anyway yesterday we found last years one which is absolutely covered in paint and crinkled, so we decided to play a little prank. hehe. Anyway we took the old map back to him today covered in paint and said that we were sure that a little bit of turps could probably get the paint off. hehe. He was not impressed. He asked us if we actually thought that he could possibly put that map back on the wall. We said "sure. just need to clean it up a bit ay". Anyway he wasn't to pleased at all. Just as we were about to head out the door we told him that the real map was still in the car. hehe. He was like "oh you little (so and so's)...". Anyway it was a great crack up and he laughed so it wasn't too bad. hehe. Anyway, i don't know if it's very funny reading it, but it was a lot of fun. hehe

Anyway, i'm kinda looking forward to when the rest of the students arrive in another week. There is 7 new students coming so hopefully they'll get here in time before we have to do all the really budget jobs. It would be great if they could help us put up the Amp theatre. Coz its real heavy and hard to do. Last year we had 5 people doing it. And that was quite a mission. At least this year we will know what we are doing. hehe

She Won!!!

What a winner! Zoe won the large dogs catergory. What a clever doggy she is!!! She didn't chase any dogs in the first few races. She did look like she was about to but i think she decided that that dog was much too slow so she took off to race down to Mum. She is so fast. However after she had won the large dog catergory there was a race for all doggies. Zoe won that one too. However the stupid rabbit skin thing that the dogs are supposed to chase didn't work. And so Zoe realised that Mum had actually left and that she couldn't see her. It took me ages to get her back. They then redid the race before and because Mum was no longer there Zoe finally chased the other dogs and came about 5th. Then she was running round and bowled a small dog head over heels. It was hilarious. But oh well. She won. And it was great fun. It was quite fun being able to race Zoe on my bday. Hehe. Lots of fun.

Anyway, i had my first day of work today. Lots of fun. (cough cough). We got to clean up site numbers all day. (With a small break where we got to pick up rubbish). Hehe. Although when we did pick up the rubbish, we had to drive the big truck around instead of the ute coz it was about to go to the dump. And with there being two guys and me it was of course me driving. When we went past a group of builders they all cracked up. Hehe. Was funny. But i'm quite tired now coz i've been out in the sun all day.

I'm home again

Yay. I am home once more. I had a good trip up yesterday. There were so many cops on the road. We had a rangerover pass us 4 times. After the 3rd time we saw him get pulled over by a cop. hehe. Quite funny really. We also got passed 3 times by a motorbike. You'd think i was going slow or something. Although considering the number of cops on the road you could say that i kept to the speed limit a little more than usual. hehe. But it was a great trip. I must remember never to wear black trousers again on such a hot day when i'm stuck for a few hours behind a wheel. It was quite hot. Cousin John had the air conditioner pointed towards his knee. hehe. Cracked me up. hehe. But i did have fun. Quite gutted though because i brought all my CDs to make up for the time that i only had 1 tape. And he didn't even like any of my CDs. So i had to listen to his iPod which he had a transmitter for. Coz his music is apparently way more tasteful. Don't know wat he was talking about. I didn't even know most of his music.

Anyway i am home now. Have been trying to convince my family that we should have a game of Rapidough (which is a really cool game coz you get to make stuff out of playdough. I like the peoples who bought it for me. They're awesome). Anyway i havn't been able to have a game yet coz we need 4 people to play and my fam keeps disappearing and leaving only 3 people. So hopefully tonight!

I'll prob head out to the a&p show later. My parents have a stand there so they'll be there all weekend, which is kinda stink coz i just got home and it's my bday tomorrow. But oh well. Apparently i'll have the honour of working on the stall on my bday. That'll be my wonderful bday pressie from my dad. hehe. I'm not so sure that he and me think the same in aspects to work. hehe. But the terrier races are on tomorrow. Yay. I'm gonna enter our doggy Zoe. She came 2nd last year. And that was her first race. She could've come first coz she was running real good. Then she saw the other dogs and decided that it would be much better to chase a dog than it was to chase some piece of rag. hehe. Wat a clever doggy. hehe

Anyway, i'm gonna head off now. I'll let you know how Zoe did. hehe
